Los Sabadazos del Club Atlético Independiente
.
It was a time when it was not customary to start at an age so early. His debut before a large audience was at age fourteen at the Primer Festival Nacional del Tango which was held at La Falda. It was emceed by
Aníbal Cufré

Lorenzo Barbero
. On that occasion he sang the tango “
Por qué la quise tanto
” and was warmly acclaimed by twelve thousand people in a standing ovation.

Osvaldo Pugliese
,
Héctor Varela
,
Alfredo De Angelis
,
Armando Pontier
,

One year later he made his debut on LR1 Radio El Mundo, accompanied by the staff orchestra of the radio station and, also he appeared at the TV show known as
La Escala Musical
that was aired on TV Channel 13. At age 16, after studying singing techniques for a year with Ricardo Catena —a baritone singer of the Teatro Colón— he joined the
Osvaldo Fresedo
orchestra as vocalist.
He appeared at the Rendez Vous night club, a luxurious and traditional venue owned by the above orchestra leader. Also with Fresedo, he appeared at the carnival balls in Racing Club of Avellaneda, Estudiantes de la Plata, Huracán club of Parque Patricios and Defensores de Santos Lugares.
He recorded for the first time in June 1966 for CBS-Columbia. He entered the recording studios on two other occasions. Among his recordings the following stand out: “
Viejo Buenos Aires
”, “
Sobre el pucho
” and “
El flaco Abel
”, along with
Roberto Yanés
and
Hugo Marcel
.
With the same orchestra he appeared at the well-remembered
Sábados Circulares
emceed by Nicolás Mancera which was aired on TV Channel 13. He was also featured on Channel 11 at the program
Comienza El Show
in which Bobby Solo, Johnny Hallyday and other stars of worldwide fame were showcased.
Thereafter and now as soloist he performed at an important season in Mar del Plata appearing alongside
Argentino Ledesma
at the La Cueva del Tango and in La Cachila, renowned night venues of that time.
In this new character on several occasions he appeared at the festivals of La Falda and Deán Funes, at La Fiesta Nacional del Olivo in Cruz de Eje, at

This beloved singer is now based in the province of Córdoba, in Cruz del Eje. This short portrayal is a homage to his career in the field of popular music in Argentina.
