e was fond of poetry since the days of his adolescence and he wrote poems and literary articles.

The Mundo Argentino magazine published his early poems by 1913 and, among many other journals that released his works, were the well-known La Nación paper which published his poems, and El Hogar. In 1945 he released a book of poems entitled Junio y Septiembre.

For the popular song genre he wrote the lyrics of two tangos, “Ojitos tristes” and “Una pena” which bore the music composed by Adolfo Rosquellas and was recorded by Carlos Gardel.

He had no relationship with the distinguished singer, nor he even met the latter. And as he had no connection with the songwriter, people think that Gardel committed the above mentioned tango to disc just because of the merits of the song.

Albert was born in Buenos Aires on April 26, 1897 and died in Huerta Grande (Córdoba hills) on January 9, 1957.
