n 1923 he published the book of poems La Canción de la Tarde, the same year he premiered his first play, Y empezarás a vivir, after having worked as journalist in newspapers and magazines.

The above play was followed by: El rincón de la alegría, Una carta brava y Se cortó la redoblona, co-written with Eduardo Trongé; El procurador Galiniana with Eleodoro Peralta; En la timba de la vida with Juan Caruso; La sagrada familia, Sinvergüenza, Un pobre infeliz, Mano larga, Tío rico y solterón, Amarrete, Los líos de Godofredo, Don Indalecio Frescales, Pescamos el candidato, ¡Qué descansada vida!, El caballero alegría, ¡Pobre Celedonio!.

He wrote around ten tangos with music by renowned composers like Manuel Jovés, Antonio Scatasso, Samuel Castriota, Domingo Julio Vivas and Alberto Laporte to be sung on the venues where his plays were staged and in connection with them. Among them, the ones that did not fall into oblivion were “Abuelito” and “El olivo” (the latter was quite popular) because they were committed to disc by Carlos Gardel.

The singer was friend of all the ones mentioned above and also with Cabral he kept a close relationship born in the show business milieu.

Cabral was born in Buenos Aires on January 19, 1887 and also there he died on September 24, 1960.
