e composed, among many other pieces, the worldwide known fox-trot that in Argentina was released with the title “Yo no puedo vivir sin amor” (“Je ne peux pas vivre sans amour”), in collaboration with his compatriot Fred Pearly. It was translated into Spanish by Antonio Viergol and it is the first with that beat that Carlos Gardel recorded.

Viérgol adapted it for his revue Paris Qui Vient in 1922, Marconi Theater. The French chansonnier Randall, member of the Madame Rassimi’s Company, made it popular here in French.

Gabaroche was born in Bordeaux (Gironde) on September 29, 1884 and died in Marseille (Bouche du Rhône) on August 28, 1961.
