One of the best violin players in the history of tango. Unfortunately, he died at a young age when there were still many expectations about his future.
His beginnings were like the ones of all popular musicians in his time and with appearances at different venues.
Around 1920 we found him at the famous Café El Parque on Lavalle Street along with
Julio De Caro
,
José María Rizzuti
,
Pedro Maffia
. Later he joined other aggregations like the orchestras of
Alpidio Fernández
,
Osvaldo Fresedo
and
Carlos Marcucci
. The last one in which he played was the one led by Marcucci when it was lined up by Marcucci and Grupillo on bandoneons, he and
Antonio Rodio
on violins,
Alfonso Lacueva
on piano and Sinibaldi on double bass. It was the time when they had to travel to Paris with
Carlos Gardel
. He regretted very much for being unable to go with the singer who was a long-time friend. Gardel committed to disc his only tango with lyrics: “
Tu mirada
”.
He used to compose on the piano and on the harmonium but he only published the tangos “Indio viejo”, “Fifí”, “Mucho lujo” and the one above with lyrics by
Eugenio Cárdenas
.
Juan Rosito
was born in Buenos Aires (Boedo) on July 25, 1896 and there he died on November 26, 1928.
